MANNY MARTINEZ

An injured high school football player out of a career, Martinez started attending his mother’s field hockey practices. He quickly picked up the game and was strongly encouraged to participate in the Futures program. After 10 sessions of Futures he was referred to try-out for the Men's U18 developmental squad and the rest was history. Martinez made his debut with the U.S. Men's National Team at World League Round I in Chula Vista, Cali in November 2012, recording the first goal his career against Guatemala. Highlights of his career include winning the gold metal in the 2012 and 2016 World League Round 1 World Championships. Then competing in other series and tours in Holland, Germany, England, Poland, France, Canada, Spain.

Martinez is always on the pitch, and when he isn't playing, he has dedicated his time to building the sport around the world. His influence coaching was foundational to numerous programs such as Futures, Coastal Clash, Chula Vista Elementary and East County Gators. Manny also made residence in Adelaide, Australia to spend time coaching the U15 AMNT.
